Why Riverside Homeowners Choose Trane Air Duct Cleaning

We’re Mortons Air Duct Riverside, an independent Riverside Trane service provider serving Riverside, CA, and the wider Inland Empire. Trane systems run at higher static pressures than most HVAC equipment, which means the ductwork attached to them has to be sealed, sized, and cleaned to a tighter standard. That’s exactly what we do differently. Call (350) 240-5513 for a free estimate.

Trane builds heat pumps, air handlers, and furnaces that are genuinely well-engineered. But even the best Trane in Anaheim or Riverside can’t move air through a duct system that’s leaking, clogged, or collapsing. Riverside’s hot, dry summers and Santa Ana winds push fine dust and debris into attic ductwork constantly. Older homes near the Wood Streets and the Arlington Heights area often have original metal ducts with fiberglass insulation that’s started to degrade. That’s the reality we work with every day.

Paul Adeyemi, our owner, has been working with Trane systems across Southern California for the better part of two decades. He and our technicians see the same pattern over and over: equipment that’s still perfectly good, attached to ducts that aren’t. We fix the ducts so the Trane unit can do what it was designed to do.

We are not affiliated with or authorized by Trane. We’re an independent service company that knows Trane equipment well, and we’re a member of the Cedarwell family of independently owned companies. What that means for you: factory-quality work, real accountability, and no incentive to sell you something you don’t need.

Why Trust Mortons Air Duct Riverside for Your Trane Air Duct Cleaning?

Here’s what separates genuine Trane familiarity from a tech who’s just winging it: Trane’s Hyperion air handlers, XL20i heat pumps, and S-Series furnaces all run variable-speed blowers that respond to static pressure in real time. A dirty blower wheel, a collapsed return duct, or a leaky supply run doesn’t just reduce airflow. It makes the motor work harder, draws more current, and shortens the life of equipment you paid thousands for. We understand that relationship, because we’ve spent years tracing airflow problems back to their source in Riverside homes.

Paul trained at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College and has had his hands inside Trane ductwork from older Riverside bungalows to newer builds out by Canyon Crest. He keeps a shop towel in his back pocket at all times, partly out of habit and partly because he can’t walk past a dusty register without wiping it down. That’s the level of attention your home gets from our whole crew.

Every Trane duct cleaning job starts with a written price before any work begins. Every visit includes shoe covers and drop cloths, quieter tools during nap hours, and a photo of the clean-up before we leave. We work to the Cedarwell C.A.R.E. values on every job, and every job carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it’s not right, we make it right. Full stop.

Common Trane Air Duct Cleaning Problems We Fix in Riverside

Trane equipment is designed to extract maximum efficiency from properly sealed and balanced ductwork. When the ducts fail, the system suffers. These are the issues we see most often in Riverside homes with Trane systems:

  • Flex duct delamination and pinhole leaks. Riverside attics regularly hit 130°F or more in summer. That heat, combined with bone-dry air, causes the inner liner of older flex duct to separate from the insulation jacket and eventually develop pinholes. Trane’s high-static blowers will force conditioned air straight through those holes into the attic. You’re paying to cool the rafters. We find this constantly in pre-1980 ranches with original flex runs.
  • Condensate drain pan overflow from clogged evaporator coils. Trane aluminum evaporator coils are durable, but Riverside’s fine dust loads them up quickly when ducts leak or filters are skipped. A clogged coil forces the system to run colder, condensate backs up, and you end up with water stains on the ceiling or a float switch that kills the system. Coil cleaning is part of our Trane service, not an add-on.
  • Lint and fine particulate buildup on variable-speed blower wheels. Trane’s variable-speed ECM blower motors are precisely balanced. When dust accumulates unevenly on the wheel, the imbalance causes vibration and a distinctive moan or rumble through the vents. Left alone, it wears the motor bearings prematurely. We clean blower wheels with non-abrasive methods safe for the motor.
  • Collapsed return ducts starving the air handler. Trane high-static blowers create significant negative pressure on the return side. If the return flex is undersized, kinked, or collapsed, the blower cavitates and airflow drops sharply. In Riverside’s older homes, we regularly find returns that were never sized correctly for the Trane equipment installed later.
  • Undersized supply runs causing uneven temperatures. A Trane XR14 heat pump is capable of delivering consistent airflow to every room, but only if the supply ducts can actually carry it. When we see a home where some rooms freeze and others bake, the culprit is almost always undersized or disconnected supply runs, not the unit itself.

Our techs were called to a 1970s ranch near the Arlington Heights neighborhood because the upstairs bedroom never cooled below 78°F. The Trane XR14 heat pump was fine, but the flex supply duct in the attic had separated at a takeoff collar and two more runs were kinked behind a storage box. We resealed the collar with mastic, replaced the kinked flex, and pulled a new R-8 insulation jacket over the main trunk. The next week the homeowner called back to say the room finally hit 72°F by early afternoon.

Trane Parts & Our Repair-vs-Replace Approach

When it comes to parts, we’re honest about what needs to be genuine Trane and what doesn’t. For filter media, coil cleaners, and anything that touches the equipment’s internal components, we use genuine Trane products. For general duct repairs, we use commercial-grade flex or metal that meets or exceeds Trane’s static pressure ratings. The distinction matters: a cheap aftermarket filter can let dust coat a Trane coil in a single Riverside summer. A quality commercial flex run will perform just as well as the original.

We repair ductwork before we ever recommend replacing Trane equipment. If a duct section has a pinhole leak or a separated collar, sealing and patching is almost always the right fix. We only recommend full duct or component replacement when the leakage is extensive or the metal has corroded to the point that patching is a false economy. You’ll get a straight answer either way, and the written quote will make the scope clear before you commit.

Our Trane Service Process – Step by Step

  1. 1
Diagnosis. We start by measuring static pressure, inspecting the evaporator coil, checking the blower wheel, and visually tracing the duct runs we can access. On Trane systems, we pay special attention to the return side, where high-static blowers reveal undersized or collapsed ducts quickly.
  2. 2
Scope and written price. Before any work starts, you get a written scope of what we found, what we recommend, and exactly what it costs. No surprises later.
  3. 3
Repair and clean. We seal leaks with mastic (never just tape), replace or re-insulate duct runs as needed, clean coils and blower wheels with Trane-safe products, and install genuine filters. All work is done with shoe covers on, drop cloths down, and respect for your home.
  4. 4
Test and verify. After the work, we re-measure static pressure and airflow. We want to see the Trane blower running in its designed range, not struggling against a repaired system that’s still out of balance.
  5. 5
Clean-up and proof. Before we leave, we take a photo of the clean-up so you can see the condition of your home. That photo is backed by the 365-Day Done Right Promise.

Trane Products We Service & Install in Riverside

We work on the full range of residential Trane equipment, including the XR14 heat pump and air handler combos, XL20i high-efficiency heat pumps, Hyperion communicating air handlers, and S-Series furnaces with variable-speed blowers. Our experience spans across the Inland Empire, where Trane repair in Ontario and surrounding areas is common for high-static duct designs in both older Riverside homes and newer tracts.

We stock genuine Trane filter media, coil cleaners, and duct sealing materials locally for faster turnaround on the most common repairs. When a job calls for duct replacement, we use R-8 rated flex or galvanized metal that meets or exceeds Trane’s static pressure ratings for the system in question.

We Also Service These Brands

While this page focuses on Trane, our team works across all major brands. We service Lennox and Carrier equipment regularly, and the same written-price, same 365-Day Done Right Promise applies no matter what name is on the unit. If it’s an air handler, a furnace, or a heat pump, we can clean, seal, and balance the ducts that serve it.
